The Manu interface is inspired by graphic design software, so it might feel familiar to you. Let me guide you through what's what!
Editor View

- Application Title: Click here to easily return to your dashboard.
- Toolbar: Equipped with tools to help you annotate your manuscript. Check out the details below for more information.
- Index: Find all your categories and folios, and search for annotations by their content. More on how to use the index is provided below.
- Highlight: Indicates where an annotation is located.
- Layer Toolbar: Switch between different layers with ease. Learn more about layers in the section below.
- Editor Window: A space for you to write your annotations.
- User Panel: Displays your profile picture (if you use Gravatars) and your name, with an option to log out.
- Navigation Arrow: Use this to move to another folio.
- Full Page Information: Contains general information about the manuscript.
Toolbar
The main control feature is the toolbar, which allows you to do the following:

- Mouse Pointer – This lets you freely move around the manuscript canvas, select annotations, and more.
- Rectangular Annotation Tool – Click and drag with the left mouse button to create a rectangle, which will then be transformed into an annotation.
- Freeform Annotation Tool – Click and drag with the left mouse button to start a line. You can then click to add more points, which can wrap around an image or initial. Double-click with the left mouse button to finish editing the shape and transform it into an annotation.
- Eraser – Use this to remove any unwanted annotations.
